Families will love it
The owners were lovely , polite and super friendly. They made sure we were greeted on arrival and the check-in was quick , which left us free to enjoy ourselves. The room was a good size , and it had everything we needed for our stay. My boys enjoyed the game room , felt right at home with the atmosphere.
It was a bit pricey , but honestly worth it for the service and comfort.

not sure how to describe my disapointment at The Beckwood. The sheets had stains and the windows were filthy, making me feel miserable. I almost asked for an upgrade, but then recalled how the duty manager never seemed to be around. I couldn't believe the severly dangerous shower curtain! How hard can it be to keep things safe?

The beds were surprisingly comfy, allowing for a decent night's sleep even if the surroundings left a bit to be desired. The unique charm of the place hints at potential for something great with the right touch-up.
Where do I even start? We walked into a cluttered space that felt more like someone’s living room than a hotel lobby, complete with paint splatters and worn carpets. In our room, the lack of working lights and multiple holes in the walls screamed neglect. It was hard to shake off the uneasy feeling of having random folks around, presumably friends of the owners, milling about as if it was their home. Cleanliness was not a concern that seemed to have crossed anyone's mind. there were signs of dead bugs, and the general vibe was unkempt.

I stayed in the Family Room with Bathroom for 2 nights. The beds were so uncomfortable, and the room was pretty basic and not very clean. I noticed dirty spots and the bathroom could have used a deep clean. But the staff were really lovely and welcoming! It felt more like a place just to sleep since we were out exploring Blackpool most of the time.

the beckwood is close to south pier, making it convenient for exploring. we received a warm welcome, and the towels were clean and fresh, which was a nice touch. there's potential here if the management puts in a bit more effort.
would recommend.
